Job Description

This role is key to driving organizational efficiency, productivity, and innovation by refining and optimizing core business processes across the factory. You will play a hands-on role in identifying improvement opportunities, leading lean transformation projects, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. You will collaborate across departments to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity — ensuring that Elegant Knitting continues to set the standard in process excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations
  • Analyze data to uncover bottlenecks and recommend measurable, evidence-based improvements
  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management
  • Support change management efforts, ensuring effective communication and staff engagement
  • Conduct internal trainings to build lean and problem-solving capability across teams
  • Liaise with external consultants to ensure process excellence projects are implemented effectively
  • Ensure compliance with process audit requirements and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in process improvement, operations, or Lean manufacturing
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Blue Belt) preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in English and Sinhala

  • Maintain process documentation so it reflects the current agreed way-of-working (incl. updates when improvements are implemented)
