Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) organization is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services. The EOP Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution, operational readiness, and planning oversight for leased and build data center projects through Ready for Service (RFS) & Ready for Network Install (RNI). This role leads execution planning, milestone delivery, financial governance, vendor coordination, and cross-functional alignment across multiple projects and stakeholders. The EOP Manager delivers high-level execution, operational, and planning oversight from preconstruction through the full lifecycle of data center construction and delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversight of end-to-end execution planning and operational readiness for leased and build data center projects through RFS & RNI
  • Produce, maintain, and execute integrated project plans aligned to key delivery milestones
  • Lead execution of EOP scope of work across multiple projects in the AMERs West Region
  • Drive timely, data-based decisions to maintain alignment with Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities
  • Monitor approved project budgets and provide oversight for project controls
  • Apply financial acumen to identify cost-effective solutions
  • Partner with cost management teams
  • Partner with internal CO+I teams and key Microsoft stakeholders
  • Communicate updated process flows
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned
  • Seek optimization of processes
  • Leverage Ai tools to further advance construction delivery innovation
  • Attend and actively participate in owner/architect/contractor and project meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
  • Extensive experience in mission-critical environments
  • Strong technical and construction acumen
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-direct
  • Strong background in data center construction, integration, operational planning, financial management, and risk mitigation
  • Expertise in analyzing Primavera P6 Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
