Job Description:

Citi are looking to hire a highly numerate individual with strong skills across analytics to work as part of the European cash equities execution advisory business. This role will work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to design and implement customized algorithmic trading solutions. By joining Citi’s execution advisory desk, you will primarily be responsible for helping to support and develop our execution product performance analysis service and execution platform sales development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Stay abreast of European market structure and regulations to ensure compliance and competitive advantage
  • Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and Execution Algorithm Customizations – run independent trade cost analysis to optimize performance and algo trading product enhancements
  • Respond to requests related to equity trading analytics, pre- and post-trade analytics, liquidity venues and execution recommendation
  • Collaborate with equities technology, algo quants and sales trading teams to work together towards a common goal of driving Electronic Execution business growth
  • Support the requirements gathering, data analysis, and idea presentation needed to support successful client “Algo Wheel” implementations

Requirements:

  • Experience as Quantitative Analyst in a financial firm
  • Experience working as part of an algorithmic trading desk
  • A good balance of technical and quantitative skills as well as client engagement experience
  • Knowledge of mathematical finance, including algorithmic trading, market microstructure, machine learning methodologies
  • Knowledge of common client trading problem sets, industry benchmarks, “Algo Wheel” implementations, and trends in electronic trading
  • Strong interpersonal and soft skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Coding/Technical skills – Python, KDB-Q, VBA
  • Ability to take complex scenarios and be able to explain technical results to non-technical audience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage your own workload independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
