MUST HAVE a License Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
6 to 10 years of working experience exclusively as a technician in a pharmaceutical packaging environment
Experienced Licensed Industrial or Construction and Maintenance Electrician (442A or 309A), with strong electrical and technical aptitude and/ or 6 to 10 years of working experience
None licensed candidates must complete and pass a technical aptitude test involving hands-on demonstration
General technical knowledge and experience concerning electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC
Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines

Job Responsibility

Responsible for the efficient set up and operation of various packaging and production pieces of equipment
Adjusts equipment to ensure production runs are executed efficiently, with high quality and minimal waste
Sets up packaging lines
Performs changeovers and supports tooling handling and cleaning
Responsible for the operation of the Line from a technical and production standpoint
Partners with QA, Packagers and Lead Leaders
Identifies and tackles continuous improvement opportunities
Uses sound technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair packaging and production equipment
Performs and plans regular preventative maintenance on packaging and production equipment, including overhauls
Ensures cleaning protocols are followed for all packaging equipment

Job Responsibility

Set-up and operation of machinery used in the packaging of pharmaceutical products (e.g. Cartoning, Blistering and bottling equipment, inkjet coder, checkweigher, etc.)
Disassembles and cleans all change parts/production room as outlined in SOP's
Responsible for the operation of the Line from a production standpoint partnering with QA, Maintenance Trades, Packagers and Line Leaders
Reads and understands packaging procedures prior to each job
Adheres to standard SOP's and job specific packaging procedures
Troubleshoots setup, equipment and facility issues and uses trigger points to escalate for support to ensure production runs are executed efficiently, with high quality and minimal waste
Performs in-process checks and inspections
Partners with the Maintenance Trades to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems and repairs
Performs packaging tasks associated with packaging pharmaceutical product
Assists in the orientation and training of new Packagers and Maintenance personnel on duties to be performed
