Job Description:

Our dynamic team is expanding and we're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented paralegal specializing in probate to help us provide excellent service to our clients. Our firm is known throughout Missouri for our commitment to our clients and our depth of expertise in estate planning. We're looking for a full-time probate paralegal who shares our passion for law and helping others to deliver the highest standard of legal aid to our valuable clientele.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and organize probate case files from beginning to end
  • Draft legal documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Prepare and file court petitions and other probate-related documents
  • Assist attorneys in client meetings and hearings
  • Conduct legal research and maintain updated knowledge of probate laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Paralegal in Probate and/or Estate Planning
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Proficiency in legal terminology, court processes, and client management procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional research skills and knowledge of legal databases
  • Paralegal certification is strongly preferred

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Probate and Probate & Estate Administration
  • Understanding of Probate Law is essential
  • Prior experience in a similar Paralegal role is desirable
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • A degree in law or related field is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
