Job Description:

The Exams Officer position is a permanent role located in a leading secondary school in Grays. The school places emphasis on improving life chances and raising aspirations of young people. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including exam season preparation, data analysis, and administrative duties. The role provides a chance for professional growth within a supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assist the Deputy Headteacher (Assessment, Recording and Reporting) and Data Manager
Establish and develop efficient and effective school data processes and systems
Run academic and pastoral reporting sessions
Perform specific, advanced data analysis
Assist with SIMS database tasks
Complete and reconcile School Censuses
Ensure administrative and organisational aspects of exams and assessments
Prepare exam season data collection
Resolve exam clashes
Process exam results
Coordinate application for special considerations
Handle malpractice procedures
Circulate incoming information and maintain efficient office environment
Manage assessment and target setting data of students
Analyze data alongside Deputy Headteacher

Requirements:

Good written & oral skills
Exceptional organisational skills and time management
Ideally previous experience within the role in a school or FE environment – (Not essential)
Background within Data or SIMS
Knowledge of career paths and /or higher education & willingness to learn more
