Job Responsibility

Support the administration of the full MIS directorate, ensuring compliance is followed in all processes
To ensure the security and confidentiality of exam papers before during and after an exam
Pick up exam papers and materials prior to the exam, check that the correct papers have been delivered to the exam room and ensure that the exam rooms is correctly set up, including the display of the required examination notices
To invigilate exams and assessments to JCQ Regulations and the college standards for both paper-based and online exams
To ensure that efficient time keeping is maintained at the start and end of the exams
To deal with queries, problems and illness in a calm, efficient and professional manner before, during and after each exam
To ensure that a candidate’s identity is verified against acceptable forms of identification
To check and complete the attendance register and associated paperwork and ensure that the right candidates are present for the right exams
To act as a reader, scribe or prompter to a candidate who has additional needs as and when required
To closely monitor the conduct of the examination and candidate throughout, ensuring that all rules are followed and that any attempt to disrupt an exam or use unfair means is dealt with appropriately

Check that all truss bolts are tight and pieces of flown equipment are safetied to truss
Support other trades needing help raising gear through use of motor or lift, and check work for safety
Remain on site until all motors have been raised to trim
Responsible for observing and maintaining all safety concerns during an event, including escalation of any observations of personnel who are acting in an unsafe manner
Ensure the power phasing of motor controller is appropriate to prevent limit switches from being defeated
Verify all elements are securely fastened and checked for safety
