At Oasis Academy Wintringham, we know that exams are milestones in a student’s journey; and our Exam Invigilators play a critical part in ensuring that both internal and external examinations run smoothly. We are looking for people with strong character who can assist with the preparation and delivery of our examinations, helping to create the calm, supportive environment our students need to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise students during examinations, ensuring compliance with established rules and regulations
Prepare the examination room and distribute/collect exam materials securely
Educate students on procedures and provide reassurance where needed
Monitor the exam environment, ensuring JCQ and Academy regulations are observed
Respond professionally to student queries and report incidents promptly
Support the Examinations Officer and comply with reasonable requests to keep exams running smoothly
Requirements:
Calm and composed under pressure
Trustworthy, with strong integrity
Professional, with the ability to maintain authority while remaining approachable
Flexible and cooperative – able to work as part of a team or independently
Resilient, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and Oasis values
Willing to work flexibly – most exams take place at 9:00am or 1:00pm during May–July, with internal assessments in November, December, and February

Ability to follow set instructions carefully
Good judgement, knowing when to refer decisions upwards
