Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Events Team Leader to join the team at Victoria & Albert Museum.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, organize and deliver a successful operation of the events, dining rooms and other areas within the events department
  • Liaise with other key personal, including, events and sales department to deliver service that meets and exceeds client’s expectations
  • Brief the events team on all aspects of the business and to oversee the running of all events, workings lunches and dining
  • Meet clients on arrival making sure that the event is as they require and ensuring that any on the day changes are passed on to the relevant people where necessary
  • Train or provide training to the staff to ensure they operate in accordance with Benugo standards
  • Liaise with key people in all necessary areas (kitchen, events, reception, etc…) of the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards pre-agreed
  • Monitor that all staff present themselves correctly dressed for duty and are well groomed whilst on duty
  • Responsible in monitoring staff time sheets are filled correctly
  • Deputize for the manager in his/her absence

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required
  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire
  • Flexibility to work on events as and when required
  • Passion for food and wine is a plus
