The purpose of the position of Events Specialist PR & Communication is to connect IKEA with the local community with the most amazing events in the country and make them the talk in town to strengthen IKEA’s brand visibility, brand positioning, and brand attachment.
Job Responsibility:
Co-create, plan, and execute inspiring and unique brand events that keep the IKEA brand visible throughout the year, strengthening brand recognition and building strong community connections through memorable experiences and communication
Develop, implement, coordinate, and follow up on the yearly Brand Events PR & Communication Plan to deliver strong brand visibility and attachment through relevance, creativity, innovation, and efficient use of resources
Lead the creative and high-quality execution of all event elements to deliver a seamless and engaging experience for attendees, paying close attention to detail in areas such as venue setup, program planning, communication, entertainment, and attendee management
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure an integrated and smooth event delivery, involving key stakeholders such as Marketing & Communication, People & Culture, Co-worker Communication, Commercial, Customer Experience, and IKEA Food
Coordinate and manage communication and PR activities with external partners to ensure consistency, quality, and strong visibility aligned with IKEA’s brand values and objectives
Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with third parties, including public authorities, NGOs, civil associations, and private organizations that share IKEA’s values and purpose
Manage event execution in line with approved budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maximizing impact and long-term value
Collect, analyze, and share feedback and learnings from each event, using insights to continuously improve, innovate, and strengthen future event planning and delivery
Requirements:
Background in marketing and/or communication, either through a degree or practical experience of at least 3-5 years
Demonstrated capability in planning, organizing, and executing successful events making use of management principles and practices bringing innovative and creative solutions
Proven background in engaging and building relationships with customers and partners providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction
Strong networking skills to build and maintain relationships with external partners
Experience in engaging and building relationships with customers and partners providing exceptional customer service
