Job Description:

Directs and motivates team while personally assisting in the physical setup of function rooms and executing events. Develops team to provide consistent service quality. Responsible for financial and administrative management, including asset protection. Coordinates event operations to ensure service excellence and safety. Upholds company values of diversity and inclusion, contributing to Marriott International and Sheraton's global communities.

Job Responsibility:

Directs and motivates team while personally assisting in the physical set up of the function rooms
executes events based on requirements and standards
develops and directs team to provide consistent, high quality service
communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes
monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
ensures Red Coat program is in place
delegates tasks to ensure room sets are on time
manages departmental inventories and assets
projects supply needs for the department
ensures cleanliness and sanitation standards in banquet operation areas
coordinates routine maintenance
acts as a liaison between Banquets, Event Planning, Event Delivery teams, and the group contact
sets service goals for event service supervisors and employees
ensures employees understand expectations and parameters
leads shifts and actively participates in events
communicates and executes departmental procedures
ensures staff are trained in safety procedures
conducts monthly department meetings with Event Service staff

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
3 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
