Job Description:

Responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinates with Sales, property departments and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of property events. This position primarily handles events of average complexity. Ensures their property events have a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare all event documentation
Coordinate with Sales, property departments and customers
Ensure consistent high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases
Manage events of average complexity
Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales
Maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling
Manage group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups
Act as liaison between field salesperson and customer
Participate in customer site inspections
Conduct pre- and post-event meetings
Facilitate various meetings including Banquet Event Order meeting

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
Experience in managing event logistics and operations
Customer service skills
Leadership capabilities for event management teams
Sales and marketing coordination experience

Nice to have:

Experience with up-selling products and services
Ability to integrate current trends in event management and event design
Experience in revenue forecasting for customer groups
