Job Description:

The Manager for Events plays a pivotal role in shaping, delivering, and optimising the organisation’s events strategy. The role focuses on creating an events strategy aligned to a global approach to ensure consistent delivery of impactful programmes. Responsibilities include managing strategic event delivery, developing toolkits, influencing cross-functional teams, and tracking performance while adhering to compliance standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and deliver the local event strategy in line with overarching CIB marketing objectives
  • Create strategic platforms for global events series, streamline and create branded properties
  • Deliver the marketing of events including creatives with targeted strategies leveraging segmentation and personalisation
  • Create event toolkits to ensure consistent execution
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic events including planning, logistics, and post-event analysis
  • Create best in class client journeys end-to-end
  • Collaborate with teams to drive content delivery for wider marketing strategies
  • Oversee budget management for events ensuring efficiency and return on investment
  • Implement best practices for event promotion, engagement, and follow-up
  • Track, analyse, and report on event performance
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Build strong relationships with global, regional, and local teams
  • Collaborate with the Group Brand team for reinforcement of brand platform
  • Foster creativity and accountability within the events function
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and partners

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on commercial marketing within global banking or financial service
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering large-scale, high-profile events
  • Strong understanding of event marketing best practices, including audience engagement, lead generation, and measurement
  • Ensure all events comply with relevant governance, risk, and compliance standards
  • Skilled in developing toolkits and frameworks for scalable, consistent event delivery
  • Experience managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, and driving cost efficiencies
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in virtual, hybrid, and in-person event formats
  • Strong collaboration skills within global, matrixed organizations
  • Tertiary education preferred
  • Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
