The role of Events Manager is a new and key part to the Kernel Marketing team. It is a role that will be wholly owned and shaped by an ambitious and curious individual who can see the long-term opportunity of building this focus area for the Group. Kernel is at an exciting moment having just launched a new challenger recruitment brand and our global teams amping up all of their outreach activity. The Marketing team has the opportunity to develop, trial and build a strong events strategy and function.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, manage, and deliver events across all Kernel brand (internal, client-facing, virtual, hybrid, and experiential), ensuring alignment with marketing and business objectives
Manage event project timelines from concept through delivery
Coordinate event logistics including production, suppliers, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication
Build and implement a formal events process to standardise planning, approvals, delivery, post event reviews, feedback and ROI tracking, producing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness
Introducing tools or templates to support standardising and creating efficiency of global events
Create and maintain a global venue and supplier database, including suitability, pricing, contracts, and performance reviews
Source suitable third-party sponsors for brand events
Build strong relationships across Kernel’s global brands and teams, communicating confidently and clearly with internal stakeholders at all levels
Supporting with internal Kernel-focused globally located events as and when required
Requirements:
3–5 years of hands on experience in events or experiential marketing (agency or in house)
Confident individual who can ideate, prioritise, multi task, and stay calm under pressure
Experience delivering multi format events (in-person, virtual, hybrid)
Strong communication skills - clear, polished, and adaptable to different audiences
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
A proactive, solutions focused approach with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment with evolving needs
Nice to have:
Experience working in a multi brand or international organisation
Familiarity with events technology platforms or CRM tools
Budget management experience including supplier negotiation
Proficiency in creating video content
