The Events Intern supports the Events Department in the coordination and execution of small-scale functions, collaborating closely with internal hotel teams to ensure guest satisfaction and successful delivery of each event. This role provides hands-on experience in event planning, communication, and logistics, acting as a valuable support to the Events Supervisor and Events Coordinator. The internship offers a comprehensive introduction to the dynamics of luxury hospitality events within a professional and mentoring environment.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in site inspections with the Events team to learn about venue spaces and client requirements
Assist in verifying that all client needs are accurately addressed prior to each event
Support the management of the events mailbox, handling inquiries and requests efficiently
Coordinate with other departments to provide timely and accurate responses to client questions
Take part in training sessions focused on event management best practices and guest service excellence
Assist with performance tracking and provide feedback to support team improvement
Contribute to the promotion and coordination of private dinners and exclusive event experiences
Collaborate on the organization of event logistics, ensuring smooth communication among clients, hotel teams, and external vendors
Help review and maintain event documentation, including rooming lists, F&B needs, and billing details
Assist with external supplier coordination to ensure the flawless execution of events
Respond to potential client inquiries regarding event options and venue availability
Requirements:
Enrolled in a hospitality, business, or event management program seeking practical training
Genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality and events industry with a proactive learning attitude
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Ability to multitask efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Positive and team-oriented mindset, comfortable working across multiple departments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn hotel systems
Reliability, adaptability, and commitment to delivering quality service and operational excellence
