Job Description

The Events & Group Sales Manager will be a crucial, dual-focused role. The main task will be to drive and manage corporate group sales to meet and exceed targets, coupled with providing essential support and leadership in daily operations management and event coordination to ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience.

  • Contribute to updating budget forecasting processes and provide requested sales reports and analytics

  • Collaborate closely with Operations Management team and kitchen concessionaires
  • Lead and manage on-site operations for large-scale events
  • Execute scheduled daily opening and closing procedures

  • Maintain a primary focus on quality of daily operations, customer engagement, and staff supervision

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a similar sales, events, and/or operations management position
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to interact professionally and positively with clients, employees, and third parties
  • Solid mathematical skills, including proficiency in basic arithmetic, budgeting, understanding profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variance analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff, maintain team cohesion, and lead by example during operations
  • Proven ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure, with strong reasoning skills, good judgment, and the capacity to analyze and resolve operational and client issues effectively
  • Must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • A strong understanding of the restaurant/food service industry and the local corporate/events market is highly advantageous
  • Food Safety Certification Level 1
  • Serving it Right Certification

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset
  • Knowledge of Tripleseat or other similar event management software is a definite asset
