This role is ideal for a creative strategist and skilled executor who thrives at the intersection of experience design, content, community, and commercial impact. The Experience Manager will lead the ideation, development, and execution of special events, features, and immersive activations ensuring our shows evolve with the industry and consistently deliver exceptional value to attendees, partners, and sponsors.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead idea generation, development, and implementation of special events, activations, lounges, networking experiences, and feature areas
  • Design both daytime and evening experiences that drive engagement, connection, and brand buzz
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning and Event Value Plans to ensure experiences align with growth and commercial objectives
  • Identify industry trends, emerging formats, and innovative engagement strategies to keep events fresh, relevant, and future-focused
  • Identify and build relationships with rising voices, niche sub-communities, and superfans, leveraging insights, tone, and trends to inform programming, activation, and audience touchpoints
  • Represent the audience voice internally, ensuring attendee needs and community perspectives are embedded in overall event and experience strategy
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Sponsorship, Marketing, and Finance teams to bring experiences to life
  • Collaborate with the sponsorship sales team to develop and support sellable activation and experience opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for talent, speakers, agents, entertainment, and representatives both pre-show and on-site
  • Manage contracts in partnership with Legal for speakers, entertainment, associations, and sponsorship agreements
  • Own and manage budgets for education, events, activations, catering, lounges, staging, décor, speakers, AV, and production in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Event Director
  • Manage vendors across production, AV, staging, décor, and on-site video content creation
  • Oversee content capture and work with editing teams to repurpose content for digital platforms and year-round engagement

Requirements

  • 3+ years special events experience with a proven ability to lead the ideation, development and execution of immersive event experiences and activations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop audience-first experience strategies, leveraging community insights, industry trends, and emerging engagement formats
  • Have proven operational and budget management expertise, including overseeing contracts, managing vendors, owning multi-line budgets and coordinating on-site execution
  • Travel as required
