Job Description:

Events Coordinator position at The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, responsible for meeting group coordinators, analyzing banquet event orders, ensuring proper setup and guest needs, maintaining safety standards, and delivering luxury hospitality service according to The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

Job Responsibility:

Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions and make introductions
Read and analyze banquet event orders
Determine proper set up, timeline, and specific guest needs
Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
Follow up on special arrangements to ensure compliance
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests' service needs
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Read and visually verify information in various formats
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
