Job Description:

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Events Assistant & Driver to join our Proposition & Marketing team. This is a practical role that involves travelling across the UK to support our food tasting events -helping us showcase our meals and win new business. You’ll be loading and driving our branded 3.5-tonne vans, setting up tasting sessions, and serving food to prospects and customers. If you’re comfortable with early mornings and nights away, don’t mind being on your feet, and enjoy variety in your day-to-day work, this could be a great fit. This role is key to helping apetito grow its presence in our core marketings, and you’ll be part of a supportive team that works closely with Sales and Marketing to deliver memorable events.

Job Responsibility:

  • Driving our 3.5-tonne vans to and from prospect, customer and event venues
  • Loading/unloading the van and setting up event equipment
  • Serving food to customers and prospects as part of tasting events
  • Supporting sales team members on-site during events and at our Visitor Centre
  • Managing the event schedule and working with the sales team to plan logistics
  • Keeping vans and event equipment clean, safe, and road/event ready

Requirements:

  • Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 2 years)
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays (typically twice per week)
  • Comfortable with physical work and early starts
  • A dependable, can-do attitude and good timekeeping
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and good organisational ability
  • Flexible approach to working hours (including occasional weekends)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a driving or delivery role
  • Experience setting up or supporting events
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Basic Health & Safety knowledge
