As the Events and Communications Officer, First Nations, you will deliver high-quality, culturally respectful university events that support meaningful engagement with students, staff, community and external partners. You will work collaboratively across internal Divisions and with external organisations to coordinate event delivery and contribute to First Nations communications, including promoting events and capturing and sharing stories that reflect the University’s purpose, impact and values. This position requires extensive travel and after hours/weekend work at times.
Job Responsibility:
Support the delivery of major culturally safe university events, such as Orientation, graduations ceremonies and Deadly Pathways Festivals
Build key relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Deliver high-quality, culturally respectful university events that support meaningful engagement with students, staff, community and external partners
Work collaboratively across internal Divisions and with external organisations to coordinate event delivery and contribute to First Nations communications, including promoting events and capturing and sharing stories that reflect the University’s purpose, impact and values
Requirements:
Excellent organisation and time management skills to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Excellent IT skills, including administrating Event Management Platforms or similar
Background in administering social media platforms, or willingness to learn
Hold a current unrestricted drivers licence
