About the Role We are expanding our casual event staff team for The 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale and are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join us. Upcoming Event – The 154th Open Championship 2026 This July, The Open Championship returns to Royal Birkdale Golf Club for the 154th Open Championship. Taking place from Sunday 12th July to Sunday 19th July 2026, this iconic tournament attracts huge crowds, world-class golfers, and international attention — creating an exciting, fast-paced environment for event staff. You’ll be part of a friendly and professional team helping ensure the event runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently while creating a memorable experience for every guest attending the championship. Successful applicants may also be offered ongoing opportunities across future sporting events and major venues with CSP Ltd. Pay & Shift Information Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour (holiday pay included) Event Dates: Sunday 12th July – Sunday 19th July 2026 Flexible shifts available throughout the championship week
Job Responsibility:
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
Assist guests with directions, seating, and general event information
Support crowd management and follow all event safety procedures
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment throughout the event
Respond confidently and professionally to guest queries
Assist with event operations as directed by supervisors and management
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Nice to have:
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience in events, stewarding, or customer service
