Cuisine Boulud New York features an elite support team of chefs, event managers and service professionals experienced in executing dining experiences of all sizes and complexity. The Event Server is a hybrid role that includes the role of Bartender and Sanitation Assistant. This role is the guest-facing hospitality ambassador representing Cuisine Boulud New York. Assisting in all facets of the smooth execution of events, ensuring exceptional guest experience and maintaining high service and cleanliness standards.
Job Responsibility:
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts while following dress code guidelines and standards
Sign in and out for each scheduled shift and shift break
Exhibit accurate and effective use of time and attendance portals and procedures
Abide by all Cuisine Boulud New York and Dinex guidelines
Possesses an understanding of proper steps of service and consistently executes them with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
Anticipate guest needs through observation and attentiveness
Be flexible, willing and able to perform all duties related to food and beverage service at our venues and events
Be flexible, willing and able to perform all duties related to bussing and sanitation at our venues and events
Attend all mandatory staff meetings
Demonstrate command of all menus and menu changes (components, ingredients, preparation, allergens, substitutions)
Command knowledge of the beverage program
Maintain the high standards of cleanliness and proper appearance throughout all areas of event venues
Reliably complete all assigned set up and breakdown tasks
Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards
Requirements:
Previous experience in New York City Catering and Events preferred but not required
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of safe food and beverage handling protocols
Willingness to learn and take a direction a must
