Double Knot- NYC is seeking a polished, personable, and highly organized Event Sales Manager to oversee all outbound sales, private dining and group booking inquiries. This role is the primary point of contact for guests planning celebrations, corporate dinners, and special occasions within our restaurant’s private dining spaces. You’ll attract and guide guests from initial outreach and inquiry through event execution, ensuring every detail reflects Double Knot’s elevated dining experience, refined service, and attention to detail.
Job Responsibility:
Lead client development efforts through direct sales outreach, trade shows, roadshows, and strategic networking
Build and maintain strong partnerships with corporate groups, associations, and key industry contacts
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business performance to refine sales strategies
Manage all incoming private event and large‑party inquiries across phone, email, website, and booking platforms
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, converting interest into confirmed bookings
Schedule and conduct venue walkthroughs for prospective clients
Confidently present Double Knot’s space, menus, pricing, and availability with a warm, guest‑focused approach
Coordinate all event details including guest count, menu selections, beverage packages, timing, room setup, and special requests
Prepare and manage event contracts, deposits, payment schedules, and final confirmations
Maintain an organized events calendar and detailed event notes for operations and service teams
Act as the liaison between guests, management, kitchen, and service staff to ensure flawless execution
Upsell enhancements such as premium menus, wine pairings, cocktail packages, and room upgrades
Follow up post-event to gather feedback and encourage repeat bookings
Maintain detailed records of contracts, communications, payments, and post-event feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements:
1-3 years experience in restaurant events, private dining, hospitality sales, new business development or guest relations
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining client satisfaction
Superior time management abilities to handle multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines
Experience with reservation systems, CRM tools, or event software is a plus
Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends based on events
Experience establishing connections/partnerships in New York City (Miami a plus)
