We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the planning and delivery of multiple UK and international events each year. Working closely with the Operations and Exhibition Directors, you will oversee on‑site operations, infrastructure, logistics, budgets, and Health & Safety compliance to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard for customers and exhibitors. Working within the RX UK Operations team, this role requires strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. You will work independently to solve complex operational challenges, contribute to continuous improvement, and act as a knowledgeable support for colleagues, bringing a practical, inclusive, and solutions‑focused approach to event delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary point of contact for exhibitors, contractors, venue teams, and internal RX stakeholders on all on‑site operational matters
Plan, coordinate, and oversee on‑site event delivery to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient execution
Develop, maintain, and distribute clear exhibitor manuals and operational documentation
Partner with the Event Director to ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and best practices
Review and approve stand designs in line with venue, safety, and event requirements
Manage and optimise floor plans to maximise space efficiency and customer experience
Conduct site visits and lead on‑site exhibition operations across UK and international venues
Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes
Requirements:
Experience delivering operational management within exhibitions, events, or comparable environments
Strong project management skills, including effective budget management, with the ability to manage complex activity from planning through to delivery
Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across teams, suppliers, and cultures
Experience leading, supporting, or coordinating operational teams
A practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving and decision making
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices relevant to event delivery
IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent
