High school diploma required, Associate’s degree is preferred
2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
2-3+ years of audio-visual experience is required
A valid driver’s license is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles
Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program in their current position, and for the position they are applying to
External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position, within 60 days of start date
Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Job Responsibility

Responsible for intermediate level set up and operation of small to large-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction
Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment
Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise
Complies with all Company security and safety measures
Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use
Provides excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers
Be a leader, mentor, and coach for other Technicians on Encore’s Delivering World Class Service philosophy
Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication
Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met, and the equipment setup is working properly
Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day

Requirements

A good working knowledge of all types of Audio Visual equipment- including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment's use
Excellent customer service skills, politely and promptly responding to client needs
Ability to work in both a collaborative team environment, and independently
Ability to follow directions from the Project Manager or Crew Lead, and implement such tasks in a timely fashion
A high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities
Ability to effectively/professionally interact and communicate with both internal and external clients
Ability to maintain a positive/professional appearance and attitude at all times
Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive/professional manner

Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification, and must obtain any special licensing needed to be able to drive a box truck, van, or other company vehicle

Job Responsibility

Work closely with clients, Project Managers and other Event Technicians to ensure the successful completion of events
Set-up, tear-down, loading and unloading of all equipment
Operate all types of audio, visual, lighting and rigging equipment, for both live and virtual events
Provide excellent customer service and promptly handle any equipment changes/requests
Ensure equipment is functional, safely and professionally presented, and that client is familiar or comfortable with the operation of any equipment they are utilizing
Trouble-shoot any equipment issues with satisfactory resolution
Maintain organization and cleanliness of tech areas
Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure success of Markey's events
