To be successful, you must be highly entrepreneurial, an excellent communicator with demonstratable track record in leading, project managing and delivering conferences/confex events in China. Key to success is the ability to build close relationships with Government and Industry (both sales side and buy-side)
Job Responsibility:
Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, emerging topics, and key challenges to identify relevant conference themes and content. Writing the conference agenda and securing high-level speakers who are leaders in their field, ensuring alignment with audience interests and industry needs
Sales / Sponsorship: Pitch and close sponsorship and exhibition revenue to China based CROs/vendors
Speaker Management: Coordinate speaker schedules, presentation requirements, and panel discussions to ensure a seamless and engaging program
Attendee Acquisition: Research targeted job-titles from the biotech’s and pharmaceuticals companies. Manage the cycle of registration and ensure the delegates turn up onsite once they are booked Maintain up to date reporting for sales campaigns, through CRM system
Strategic Relationships and Partnerships. Build and manage a network/ relationships key partner in China to support and create value and connectivity of the event: E.G Government, Trade Bodes, Media
Conference Agenda Management: Plan and manage each aspect of conference agenda production and delivery including timelines, campaign management, speaker budget and speaker outreach. Work with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and operations, to align promotional efforts and maximize attendance
On-Site Management: Oversee conference session delivery, manage live sessions, and resolve any issues during the event to ensure smooth experience for speakers and attendees
Post-Event Analysis: Gather feedback from attendees, speakers, and internal teams to assess the conference’s success and identify areas for improvement. Create post-event reports and analyses to measure the event’s impact, track key metrics, and guide future event planning
Lead and support integrated, multi-channel campaigns (email, web, social, events, direct) to drive awareness of Arena International offerings
event sponsorship revenue, delegate footfall and lead generation for GDHC solutions
Brand Building: Leverage insights, research, and best practices to support pipeline growth and brand differentiation. Oversee internal/external communications and content creation. (example webinars/podcasts/interviews) Build industry network and connections that drive GDHC/Arena’s sales growth
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Business, or related field
3+ years' experience in conference production, event planning, or a similar role will be considered
Strong research skills, with the ability to identify industry trends and translate them into relevant conference topics
Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluent in Mandarin & English (Both Excellent Written & Spoken Skills)
Confident communicator able to hold peer-to-peer level meetings with C-Suite Executives
Ability to travel to attend and delivery of events in China and Internationally as well as occasional client meetings in the Suzhou/Shanghai area if required
