Job Description:

From setting equipment as elaborate as an LED wall to simply ensuring cable is properly run through the venue, our Technicians are the foundation of the events we build and bring to life. They ensure that each event is flawlessly executed, and work with the rest of the team to setup and strike down each event in a timely manner. At Encore, customer satisfaction is our highest priority, our Technicians play an integral part in establishing a positive relationship with each of our clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform rigging activities in a Hospitality or convention center environment
  • Gather and organize all rigging tools and equipment per event needs
  • Provide ground rigging support to teams building points from lifts
  • Establish hang-point, connect hoist and attachments to permanent rigging points
  • Final safety checks
  • Verify all elements are securely fastened and checked for safety
  • Follow all manufacturer’s recommendations and local conditions when using personnel lifts
  • Learn and implement Encore Rigging and Safety SOP’s
  • Provide ongoing visual inspection of all hardware in use

Requirements:

  • 0-1 years of exposure to rigging and technical production
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Rigging 300 (1-day in person class)
  • Lift Certification

  • Follow all manufacturer’s recommendations and local conditions when using personnel lifts
  • Learn and implement Encore Rigging and Safety SOP’s
  • Provide ongoing visual inspection of all hardware in use including truss, motors, lighting, sound, projection, and personnel lifts
  • Escalate any problems with hardware to supervisor
