Job Description:

Unpaid Internship: Event and Trip Intern in Columbus. Introducing IFI, and why you want to be an Event & Trip Intern with us: International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee planning teams such as the programming, registration, media, and hospitality teams
  • Coordinate with the National team to plan, coordinate, and execute conferences and retreats
  • Manage budgets with assistance from Operations and Finance departments and assist with payments for event vendors
  • Establish relationships with vendors, churches, local host families, and community members to maximize IFI funds and optimize participant experience
  • Draft manuals for IFI student trips with possible activities, itineraries and estimated expenses, logistics, vendor list, and contact info
  • Have a personal campus ministry impact by offering/hosting trips, events, or activities locally

Requirements:

  • Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
  • Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mission from the Lord to extend God's love extended globally out of reverence for Jesus
  • Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Ability to hold themselves and others accountable
  • Experience planning and executing events with over 100 attendees
  • Cross-cultural experience preferred
