Join our client, a well-established family-run business, in a rare and exciting opportunity as a European Transport Coordinator. Lead their delivery and collection operations across Europe and work with a diverse fleet of vehicles. If you're passionate about transport planning and have a proven track record in managing a varied transport department, then this role is for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning daily Collections & Deliveries in Europe
  • Passing all relevant details and information to all drivers, collection addresses/delivery address/reference numbers and any other form of information they may require
  • Updating worksheets in the office
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Load planning
  • Advising and liaising with both drivers/ suppliers of the collection / pick-up details
  • Booking the collections/deliveries into the respective destinations
  • Monitoring collections/deliveries ensuring they are on time
  • Advising clients and team members of any delays throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a varied Transport planning role in both the UK and Europe
  • Excellent logistics and geographical knowledge
  • The ability to think on your feet to plan loads effectively and meet promised delivery dates
  • Clearing deliveries each week and ensuring loads are planned to meet commitments will be key performance indicators in this role
  • An additional language would be an advantage but not essential.
