Job Description

As Consulting Lead for EU Institutions, you will head the EU Consulting Sector and report directly to the Director of the Consulting Department for EU Affairs, Aeroline, Defense & Security (EU ADS). This role offers autonomy and flexibility to shape the strategy, grow the EU Consulting business, and build a high-performing team. You will leverage Sopra Steria’s existing contracts, references, and your expertise in close collaboration with the EU ADS Market and the Consulting Business Line. Your mission is to drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and position Sopra Steria as a trusted partner for EU Institutions. By taking ownership and demonstrating proactivity, you will oversee ongoing projects, guarantee quality delivery, and define strategic priorities to strengthen our market presence.

Job Responsibility

  • Define strategic priorities with the Director and Account Managers, identifying key clients, themes, and growth targets
  • Implement and monitor the approved strategy, ensuring effective execution
  • Expand the business portfolio through new opportunities and strong client relationships
  • Steer the EU consulting sales funnel in close collaboration with Account Managers and Directors, from opportunity identification to deal qualification, in line with sector priorities
  • Shape and evolve the EU consulting portfolio by identifying client needs and structuring relevant, value-driven consulting offerings
  • Contribute to major bids and commercial proposals, providing strategic input on positioning, value proposition, and overall competitiveness
  • Represent the EU Consulting Sector internally and externally, contributing to the overall Consulting strategy
  • Supervise teams and operations to ensure quality delivery and client satisfaction
  • Oversee performance, coherence, and efficiency across all activities
  • Manage scope, ensure added value, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Drive financial performance and contribute to profitability goals
  • Build and lead a dedicated EU team, fostering expertise, innovation, and knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate with other sector leads to ensure alignment across practices

Requirements

  • Proven consulting expertise in digital transformation of public services, interoperability, and EU-level data strategy
  • Strong account management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to define vision and build market presence in the EU sector
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Fluent in English
  • Successful track record in consulting offers and delivery within EU Institutions and Agencies
  • Established network across EU Institutions (from project managers to decision-makers)
  • Ability to represent the company externally through events and thought leadership
