OneChronos is seeking a software engineer to design and build high-performance data pipelines that support our intraday and end-of-day trading systems. This role sits at the intersection of data infrastructure and systems programming, with a focus on building reliable, low-latency workflows that feed into and pull from our internal trading infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Design and build high-performance data pipelines that support our intraday and end-of-day trading systems
Work on the full lifecycle of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery—ensuring our systems have accurate, timely, and consistent data to support mission critical analytics and reporting
Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to build pipelines that are performant, fault-tolerant, and tailored to the unique demands of modern electronic markets
Requirements:
2+ years of professional software engineering experience
Passion for the craft of writing high-quality code meant to be read and easily understood by a growing team
Experience building and maintaining event-driven data pipelines
Familiarity with distributed streaming architectures, including producer/consumer models, durability, backpressure, and scalability
Experience in a systems-level programming language (e.g., Rust, C++, Java), with Rust being a plus
A polyglot mindset
Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on ensuring correctness, consistency, and reliability
Comfort working with large-scale data pipelines
Ability to write clean, well-tested code and collaborate in a highly technical team
Hands-on experience with production systems and an understanding of operational challenges
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment best practices
