Job Description

Wissen Technology is hiring for ETL Cloud data engineer. We are seeking an experienced ETL Platform Engineer to own and manage our Cloud-based ETL platform, serving as the primary technical point of contact for platform-related initiatives and support. The role involves ensuring platform stability, performance tuning, capacity management, production readiness, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with application teams, evaluate new technologies for cloud migration, drive process automation, and work closely with vendors to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Own Cloud based ETL platform and become technical point of contact for all related teams
  • Assist existing and new applications to come up with most queries for their requirements
  • L3 point of contact for issues related to IDMC (Cloud ETL) platform
  • Performance tuning and Capacity management of ETL processes
  • New technology POC and suitability analysis for Cloud migration
  • Process optimization with the help of automation and new utility development
  • Work in collaboration with Informatica vendor for any issues and new features
  • Performance review of all changes going into Prod

Requirements

  • Must be strong in ETL solutioning using IDMC and can understand Data Warehouse Architecture
  • Hands-on knowledge on how SQL, IDMC, Power Center works
  • Strong in logical reasoning capabilities
  • Should have strong hands-on experience on SQL query performance tuning concepts
  • Good UNIX Shell, Python scripting knowledge
  • Should have working knowledge of GitHub, DevOps, CICD/ Enterprise code management tools
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Must possess strong team-player skills and should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive environment of shared success
  • Ability to execute and prioritize tasks and resolve issues without aid from direct manager or project sponsor
