We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in ETL and data migration testing within GCP environments. The role focuses on validating data pipelines, ensuring data integrity during migrations from legacy platforms such as Teradata to cloud-based architectures, and safeguarding sensitive information through robust testing of encryption and anonymisation solutions.
Job Responsibility
Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), system regression, and performance testing (where applicable) for data migration solutions
Validate ETL pipelines and perform data reconciliation between Teradata and GCP platforms
Test and validate GCP services, including Dataflow, Cloud Run, Dataform, Eventarc, and Pub/Sub
Ensure data integrity, completeness, and accuracy following migration activities
Test PII data anonymisation, masking, and protection mechanisms
Validate encryption and decryption processes using GPG and Format Preserving Encryption (FPE)
Execute performance and volume testing for large-scale datasets
Apply strong data validation techniques using SQL and data warehousing concepts
Requirements
5-8 years of experience in data/ETL testing or data migration quality engineering
Skilled in validating ETL processes and data pipelines in cloud environments, particularly GCP
Knowledgeable in handling PII data, including anonymisation and encryption practices
Familiar with cloud-based data architectures and large-scale data migration testing
Proficient in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and data validation methodologies
Comfortable validating complex distributed systems and ensuring data quality across platforms
