The ETD Finance Analyst supports the Exchange Traded Derivatives Control team in managing financial controls, reconciliations and reporting across trading and operational activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity in financial results, compliance with internal policies and adherence to exchange and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations between front, middle and back office systems for ETD positions, cash and balances
Analyse P/L variances, ensuring accurate trade capture and accounting treatment
Support the month-end close processes including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet substantiation
Partner across Operations, Trading and Finance teams to resolve breaks an discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain and enhance control frameworks to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting standards
Develop, document and periodically review accounting methodologies for ETD products to ensure consistency with firm wide policies and evolving regulatory and accounting standards
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation efforts enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
Prepare and present management reports and ad-hoc financial analysis
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field or similar/equivalent
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal control frameworks
Strong experience in Finance or Product Control divisions or similar finance roles within a banking or trading environment
Strong understanding of Exchange Traded Derivatives, margining and settlement processes
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Nice to have:
CPA or CFA designation
