Job Responsibility

  • Review enquiries to ensure the ability to supply compliant quotations within the company’s product range
  • Ensure all quotations are 100% accurate, including relevant margins, and comply with certification requirements
  • Manage quote amendments pre- and post-sale to meet customer and project needs
  • Raise DFA’s (Design for Approval) when required, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate regularly with external customers to ensure comprehensive and compliant quotations
  • Maintain regular customer contact regarding key quotations to address inquiries and updates
  • Answer general technical enquiries, including specifications, certifications, and building regulations, consulting the technical team when necessary
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and processes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the quoting process and contribute to operational efficiencies
  • Ensure KPIs related to estimation and customer engagement are met consistently

Requirements

  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer role
  • Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be beneficial
  • Lean Management
  • Must be fully proficient in the use of software Microsoft office
  • Experience of 2D and / or 3D CAD would be beneficial
  • A proven track record of implementing improvements in processes and operational effectiveness
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing processes

Nice to have

  • Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience of 2D and / or 3D CAD
