Job Description:

Working Pattern: One day remote, four days in the office. We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join the growing team in Warrington. This role will focus on preparing accurate and competitive estimates for multi-utility projects covering electric, gas, water infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in the pre-construction phase, working closely with clients, designers, and internal teams to deliver compliant and value-driven proposals.

Job Responsibility:

Interpret plans, bills of quantities, and technical drawings to assist in producing cost estimates across multi-utility projects
Support desktop surveys and liaise with clients to clarify project scope and requirements
Assist in reviewing connection offers from Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs)
Gather and evaluate Asset Value quotations to support tender submissions
Help prepare preliminary route plans, basic designs, and scope documentation following industry standards (e.g., G81)
Support the creation of pricing breakdowns and customer proposals
Participate in internal design and estimation meetings
Assist with connection applications and maintain technical records
Ensure all estimates are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover to delivery

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar Estimator or Assistant Estimator role within utilities or multi-utility sectors
Relevant technical or vocational qualifications preferred but not essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software-desirable

Nice to have:

Knowledge of industry standards such as G81 is advantageous
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally
