Estimator/Quantity Surveyor

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and pricing from drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy, value, and compliance
• Develop cost plans and budgets to support tender submissions
• Identify value engineering opportunities and commercially viable alternatives
• Manage project costs from initial tender through to final account
• Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and variations
• Monitor project expenditure, forecast costs, and maintain accurate commercial records
• Support procurement activities, including subcontractor selection and contract negotiations
• Review contract terms, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and commercial obligations
• Support risk identification and mitigation across projects
• Produce regular commercial reports, cost reviews, and cash-flow forecasts
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and resolve commercial issues
• Ensure all work is delivered in line with budgets, timescales, and quality standards

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or dual-role QS/Estimator within the construction sector
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT) and commercial processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation
• Proficiency with cost management and estimating software/tools
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and reporting skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
