Utilize CAD and/or 3D Models for take-off and constructability review (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Trimble, 3D Bluebeam) Coordinate the RFQ/RFP process in terms of gathering the necessary information and assisting the BD Coordinator in creating the final response/submission Facilitate the preconstruction scheduling process for each project Create logistic plans that are site-specific for each project Review all documentation provided (drawings, narratives, Geotech reports, specifications, etc.) Manage the Prequalification process for all commercial subcontractors, new and current, through Trade Tapp Issue ITBs (Invitations to Bid) through Building Connected, in addition to making personal touchpoints with trade partners regarding why they should bid on certain projects Create project-specific bid packages, bid forms, and alternates Review and analyze subcontractor and material quotes Manage subcontractors through bidding phase to ensure proposals are turned in by the due date Create, manage, and communicate value engineering/budget tracking options within the preconstruction estimate Cost estimating and analysis Attend meetings (digital or face-to-face) with owners/developers, design teams, in-house, or with subcontractors during the preconstruction period Must be able to evaluate and document historical cost data Must be well organized with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments Share knowledge (best practices and lessons learned) on the ANDRES Forum Estimator Knowledge and Experience Requirements: College degree with 5+ years of experience in an estimating role at a General Contractor, specifically within the world of public and private K-12 education, higher education institutions, municipalities, counties, government, healthcare, and religious facilities Experience with CMAR, CSP, and Design/Build delivery methods related to the above Benefits (to name a few): ANDRES is a 100% Employee-Owned Company. Job Responsibility

  • Manage bid day processes accurately and reliably
  • Perform Quantity Take-off (Bluebeam) on projects for use in estimates and bids
  • Utilize CAD and/or 3D Models for take-off and constructability review (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Trimble, 3D Bluebeam)
  • Coordinate the RFQ/RFP process in terms of gathering the necessary information and assisting the BD Coordinator in creating the final response/submission
  • Facilitate the preconstruction scheduling process for each project

Requirements

  • College degree with 5+ years of experience in an estimating role at a General Contractor, specifically within the world of public and private K-12 education, higher education institutions, municipalities, counties, government, healthcare, and religious facilities
  • Experience with CMAR, CSP, and Design/Build delivery methods related to the above
