Job Description:

A reputable commercial landscape and civil contractor are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team working on projects across Greater Sydney.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparation of detailed and accurate estimates for commercial landscape and civil projects
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from tender documents to develop Bills of Quantities using Excel and Cubit, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Prepare and manage trade packages, including soliciting, comparing and analysing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to identify the most cost-effective solutions
  • Develop tender schedules tailored to each project's specifications, including site management plans, traffic management plans and construction methodologies, in collaboration with project teams
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure tenders are prepared and submitted accurately and on time

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience interpreting drawings and technical details for commercial landscape and civil projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel for preparing complex tender documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare compelling presentations and reports
  • High-level competency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and 3D software such as SketchUp
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative approaches
