Job Description

Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies, is looking for an experienced Estimating & Cost Control Specialist to join our team at our Norwest Head Office. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you play a vital role in underpinning Domaine Homes’ cost control and pricing integrity by managing the full Bill of Quantities framework, including Facade Assemblies and Extra-to-Site (ETS) management, providing data-driven cost insights that link directly to estimating, procurement, and financial reporting systems to ensure accurate forecasting, margin protection, and operational efficiency. You will also support the future integration of take-offs from Revit 3D drafting systems by collaborating with the Drafting teams to integrate Revit 3D models with BOQ and estimating systems, ensuring accurate material quantities and cost linkages.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing, maintaining, and validating detailed assembly BOQs, ensuring accurate linkage between materials, trades, and VPB pricing structures
  • Ensuring support tools like On-Screen Take-Off and Calc Sheet are updated if assemblies are not suitable
  • Creating and maintaining Sales Estimating templates
  • Managing the integration of cost elements into estimating templates to support consistent pricing and specification
  • Maintaining configuration data within Framework to align costings with current supplier rates
  • Create BOQ / Purchase orders for all new display homes ensuring the as-built homes are effectively being costed into masters
  • Monitor ETS to ensure new assemblies are created
  • or existing ones are maintained to avoid future ETS
  • Collaborate with Construction and Procurement teams to ensure ETS allowances are visible in forecasting and margin reports
  • Identify regional cost drift and variance drivers, to ensure that appropriately regional cost allowances are considered
  • Produce periodic cost-to-complete reports along with trend analyses, to inform and make recommendations to maintain start margin targets
  • Collaborate with the Design and Drafting teams to integrate Revit 3D models with BOQ and estimating systems, ensuring accurate material quantities and cost linkages
  • Develop and maintain Revit take-off templates, parameters, and model data structures that align with Domaine Homes’ estimating standards and VPB pricing framework
  • Validate automated quantity extractions from Revit against Framework and manual BOQ data to ensure accuracy and reliability of digital take-offs
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to internal teams as Revit-based estimating is rolled out across the business

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a data, estimating, systems, or analytical role within the residential construction, property development, or related industry
  • Knowledge of the Production/Sales Estimating process throughout construction
  • Knowledge of residential construction methods and materials
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (desired)
  • Takes responsibility for professional development
