Job Description

The Property Estate Team are looking for a Surveyor to focus on driving value out of the estate, support stores to trade, and maximise income producing opportunities. The role is an in-house, general practice, retail focussed surveying position that provides a perfect environment to develop skills and knowledge through working on one of the most diverse retail estates in the country.

Job Responsibility

  • Proactivley managing lease renewals to completion in collaboration with external surveyors and lawyers to deliver results on time and under budget
  • Managing rent review transactions through negotiating the most favourable outcome for the business with landlords
  • Financially appraising and evaluating property transactions and presenting said transactions for approval to senior stakeholders of the business
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual property budget and contributing to it's delivery
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve interesting and varied estate management queries
  • Negotiating interim and terminal dilapidations claims with the support of external building surveyors
  • Assisting in identifying and securing retail locations for new stores or the relocation of existing stores to support the growth of the business
  • Assisting teams on business projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate Management
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team of professionals to deliver business objectives
  • Commercially aware, analytical and able to use financial knowledge to bring an innovative approach to property solutions
  • Have a mindset of continual improvement in both tactical strategy and processes
