The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Estates & Property Manager to lead the strategic management, development and governance of our diverse multi-site estate portfolio. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for ensuring our estate and infrastructure are safe, compliant, sustainable and capable of supporting the future ambitions of the business. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering major investment programmes, including depot electrification and wider estate transformation initiatives, whilst ensuring our facilities continue to support operational excellence across the organisation. This is an opportunity to influence long-term strategy, lead significant projects and help shape the future of transport infrastructure across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading the strategic management of our estates and property portfolio
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Significant experience within estates, property or facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and building management
  • Experience delivering projects and managing contractors
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel

Nice to have

  • Experience within transport, logistics, engineering or industrial environments would be advantageous
  • Professional qualifications and membership of organisations such as IWFM or RICS are desirable
