Part of the Ark charity, Ark Start is a start-up nursery venture aiming to ensure that every child has access to an excellent early years’ education and that families have access to flexible and affordable childcare. Ark Start currently has 7 nurseries in London and are planning to expand quickly over the next year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Building the Estates function for Ark Start
  • Taking a lead across Premises

  • Review and negotiate contracts for acquisition (in conjunction with in-house legal team)
  • Help identify possible roadblocks to closing in specific locations (city, county, state jurisdictions)
  • Asset Management: Work with on-site property mangers in locations with larger assets to maintain the building standards and keep building
  • Assess and make recommendations on the asset's rent rolls, CAMs, expenses, vendor agreements, leases
  • Develop an annual capital improvement budget for each asset
  • Asset Management: Work with in-house finance team to develop an annual business plan for each asset
  • Identify, obtain bids and recommend contractors to handle maintenance and capital improvements
