We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Estates Manager to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our external estate services across a diverse social housing portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing grounds maintenance, external cleaning, bulk waste removal, void clearances, and final void cleans. You will ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while driving efficiency and value for money. We’re looking for a confident leader with a strong track record in estates or facilities management within a social housing or similar environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage all external estate services across the portfolio, setting strategic direction across Coventry, Birmingham, Worcester & Hereford
Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management, and void works
Drive Health & Safety compliance, including risk assessments, method statements, and environmental standards
Manage budgets and performance, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service quality
Monitor service delivery, respond to incidents, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes
Build stakeholder relationships, lead improvement initiatives, and produce regular performance and strategic reports
Requirements:
CIH Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
Significant senior management experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams
Strong leadership and motivational skills with a collaborative approach
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing workloads
Strong reporting and analytical skills, with experience presenting at senior level
A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Full UK driving licence
