As our Estates Facilities and Contract Head, you will lead the College’s planned preventative and routine maintenance programmes, through the management of the inhouse maintenance team and external contracts. The post holder will lead in the preparation and delivery of the College’s Estates Capital programmes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the College Mechanical and Electrical Services and building fabric in safe, efficient manner using both internal and external resources
Procure and manage contracted maintenance services and capital works
Provide periodic reports on operation/performance of facilities, such as reviewing expense reports from contract providers, quality services, and developing expense reports
Ensure all KPI are monitored with a particular focus on reactive and planned maintenance monitoring and reporting in line with our contract obligations in conjunction with the Estates Maintenance Administrator
Oversee inventory/asset management
To lead and be responsible for as required team members needed to meet agreed contracts. Including recruitment, induction, training performance management to secure efficient and effective performance
Perform routine filed inspections/assessments of assigned college facilities to monitor the execution of such services as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, elevators, fire alarms, custodial, and maintenance as identified by related external contracts or internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Support the strategic aims of the Directorate and work on specific Estates and Premises development projects/feasibility works, as directed by the VP for F&CS
Assist other Estates and Facilities staff, with any other estates and premises related tasks as required to support the operation of the College
Requirements:
Good planning and organisational skills
Understanding of quality assurance processes
Successful track record of managing and developing teams to achieve success
Experience of developing prioritised maintenance plans
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to work flexibly
