Estates Assistant

• Acting as a responsible key holder, unlock or lock buildings
• Ensure the site is safe and secure
• Take part in the on-call rota
• Be responsible for the setting and un-setting of the intruder alarm
• Undertake regular fire alarm and emergency lights checks
• Undertake timely checking of core infrastructure and equipment
• Support a wide range of caretaking and general Estates duties
• Minor repairs and maintenance
• Delivery and portering duties
• Supporting staff on site
• Support external contractors

• A friendly, flexible approach to tasks and shift patterns
• Good organisational skills and the ability to keep things running smoothly
• Experience in monitoring, testing and accurate record keeping of Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting system
• A working knowledge of Legionella within a working environment
• A genuine interest in sharing your knowledge and supporting the next generation
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• You’ll need to live within 20 minutes of the campus
