Dvorak Law Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Estate Planning Paralegal to join our estate planning practice group in Omaha, NE. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys client interaction, and has a passion for helping individuals and families plan for the future. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside attorneys and staff on a wide range of estate and trust matters, including estate and gift planning, trust administration, probate, and related business succession planning.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters
Draft, revise, and format estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, deeds, and related documents to firm standards
Prepare initial drafts of documents, maintain checklists, and incorporate revisions from drafting sessions
Manage the organization and administration of estate and trust files, including asset inventories, accountings, tax documents, and beneficiary correspondence
File documents with the appropriate courts and agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
Communicate directly with clients, financial institutions, and other third parties to request information, provide updates, and ensure timely responses
Coordinate workflow and delegate tasks to support teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
Maintain and update estate planning and trust administration databases and client records
Support client billing matters by preparing billing letters, tracking time, and handling related administrative tasks
Organize and manage electronic and paper files in accordance with firm standards
Research statutes, regulations, and other legal resources as needed
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred
5+ years of estate planning, trust administration, or probate paralegal experience in a law firm or financial institution
Strong knowledge of estate planning procedures, probate filings, trust administration, and related documentation
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of information and multiple deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDF tools, and legal practice management systems
Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and document formatting skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and client service
Must be willing to undergo a background check
