We are looking for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to expand and lead the legal planning offering for our Manalapan, New Jersey practice. This position is designed for a senior attorney who thrives in a visible, client-centered environment and enjoys helping individuals and families make informed decisions about wealth preservation, legacy planning, and long-term protection. The role works closely with financial advisors and regularly engages prospective clients through educational events, creating a strong platform for meaningful client relationships and continued practice growth.
Job Responsibility:
Direct and strengthen the firm’s estate planning function, shaping legal strategy and service delivery for clients and prospects
Deliver educational presentations on estate planning topics at public seminars and firm-sponsored events to inform attendees and build engagement
Consult with individuals and families after seminars to assess their objectives, identify planning gaps, and recommend suitable legal solutions
Partner with financial advisors to align estate planning recommendations with retirement, tax, and broader wealth management strategies
Draft and supervise the preparation of key estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments
Lead clients through execution and follow-through of planning recommendations while coordinating with advisors, support staff, and paralegal resources
Build lasting client relationships by providing ongoing counsel and recommending updates as personal, financial, or legal circumstances change
Explain complex legal concepts in a clear and practical manner so clients can understand how planning choices support their overall goals
Monitor changes in estate planning, tax, and wealth transfer law to keep advice current, accurate, and strategically sound
Requirements:
Active New Jersey law license with authorization to practice in the state
At least 5 years of experience in estate planning law, including direct client advisory work
Strong background in preparing and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents
Demonstrated ability to advise clients on estate planning, wealth transfer, and related legal strategies with confidence and professionalism
Experience working collaboratively with financial professionals or multidisciplinary advisory teams
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively in both one-on-one and group settings
Knowledge of probate, estate administration, asset protection concepts, and business succession planning
Commitment to high ethical standards, sound judgment, and a client-first approach to legal services
