Requirements

A recognised teaching qualification with experience of teaching in Further or Higher Education
Experience delivering ESOL provision to diverse learner groups
Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills
Experience using learner-centred assessment strategies
The ability to track and monitor attendance, progress and achievement accurately
Good administrative and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for upskilling the next generation and supporting learner progression

Job Responsibility

Plan and develop engaging lessons, including the creation of schemes of work
Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, providing constructive and developmental feedback
Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforcing health and safety standards and promoting compliance
Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their development and progression
Keep up to date with industry developments to maintain the relevance and employability focus of the curriculum
Actively participate in continuing professional development within the education sector
Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the ESOL curriculum offer
