3 months of experience cleaning in a patient care setting is required
Completion of hospital provided training and timely annual recertification in ESD O.R. cleaning procedures

Job Responsibility

Responds to direction or pages to clean O.R.s to ensure timely turnover of Operating/Procedures Rooms
Performs between case cleaning in accordance with department/hospital standards ensuring that the Operating Room or Procedure Room is sterile, clean and safe for use
Cleans and sanitizes O.R. surfaces including procedure tables, equipment and floors in according to procedures
Washes and decontaminates equipment as assigned including tubes and their canisters from operating rooms or cardiac procedure rooms according to established procedures and instructions
Performs periodic terminal cleaning in accordance with departmental/hospital procedures as directed
Collects and disposes of trash, soiled linen and recyclable materials
Cleans of horizontal and vertical surfaces

Cleans restrooms

Loads regular (solid) waste for compaction before final disposal
Checks control panel, gauges and chart recorder for proper functioning
Monitors digital display during operation to ensure machine is properly functioning and notifies supervisor of any changes in system operation
